Defining Our Vision (pt. 1)
Fellowship Church was birthed out of a God-given Vision to reach Habersham County with the Good News of Jesus Christ. At the very core of this vision was the desire not to duplicate what was already in existence. Habersham County has over 100 churches of varying denominations and form. We sought to be something unique and new. Our Mission Statement includes three words that need clarification and understanding for each member to better know where we will go as a church in the future.
Creative –
God created the world. Careful attention to the planet, universe and man will mandate God’s creativity. Think about the many species of plants, animals and bugs and then look at the diversity of man. Sometimes it is down right comical when you consider all that God made.
Man was created in the image of God, meaning we have the attributes and character traits of God. We are like Him! If this were true then wouldn’t it also be true that we are creative by nature. Watch as a child takes a simple stick and uses it to entertain their day or consider the wonders man has created using their God given talents. God gave each of us a creative mind. The trouble is most of us have never attempted to use this creativity as God intended. Consider all the inventions of man, what would the world be like if those inventors had never tried?
Fellowship Church seeks to be creative in our presentation of Jesus Christ. This means there are no limits outside the bond of Scripture that we will not use to tell others about God’s love for them. Drama, crafts, the arts, music, praise, video and technology; all of these are tools in the hands of man to life up the name of Jesus. Our vision includes being as creative as possible, teaching our members how to find their creative talents and presenting them to God as an incredible offering of worship.
When you read our Mission Statement remember we seek to be creative in all we do for the Kingdom work of God.
