The coolest Church I had ever been.

This is good stuff! Had one report yesterday and two today on how you are investing and inviting. The first was a couple of young guys, one had a girl friend attend last Sunday. He was invited this week and brought a friend. He saw the service and commented this is the coolest church ever. Now pray that he will invite others. The second was similar. A member inviting a friend that was done with church. They came to appease the member and was blown away. The other was a new fellow that has been coming for a month. He had a friend that was down on God for his position in life. He reminded the friend he was in that position because of decisions made. The message spoke to his friend in a remarkable way. He said that message was prepared for him cause God knew he would be in church that day. Confirmation that God is at work connecting His people together.

Anything but Ordinary!

Invest and Invite

You heard invite and invest many times here but last night it was brought out in a new light. (Thanks Mickey) Let me explain. We were attending 722 at Buckhead Church to hear Charlie Hall. They also had Dan Kimball there to speak. Dan shared about his book, They Like Jesus but Not the Church. This goes along with the book Unchristian that we read last fall. Anyway we were challenged to invest in nonchristian people daily. Dan used an example from his findings one night in Atlanta. He went to a Karaoke Bar to find some folks to share what they thought about Jesus and then Christians. Two different views from the same folks was comman. They like Jesus but have problems liking christians. He also inquired if they new about Buckhead Church. The church was less than a mile from this place and all interviewed didn't have a clue.
LIGHT BULB>
If they didn't know where that BIG church was I know our local folks can not find Fellowship. We put out signs and this is a great help, we run ads on Tv and in the paper and this helps. When you invest and invite this is the greatest opportuniy for nonchristians to find Fellowship Church.

Example: Missy has been investing in a friend. They made an entry Halloween by participating in trunk or treat. This last Sunday they came unannounced. Loved it and are comimng back with more!
Do ya get it?
Invest and invite.

It is my prayer that we will always be a church willing to experience the “uncomfortable” in order to reach the “unreachable!”

AMEN PERRY NOBLE!

Here is his link to the Sunday Night Reflections Click Here.
Here is few meaty statements for those afraid to click links.

It BLOWS my mind that “Christians” attempt to fight culture…Jesus didn’t! (John 3:17)

I think too often we forget that if it were not for the grace of God…we would be the very people that we condemn. (I Corinthians 6:9-11)

It is my prayer that we will always be a church willing to experience the “uncomfortable” in order to reach the “unreachable!”

It keeps growing and Growing...

August started with a bang! The worship band sounded great today. The crowd sang great and even got into the new song "The Lord Reigns" It was cool when you shouted and when you clapped during the song. I think it will become a favorite expression of worship in the days to come. We had a count going around 322 today. Wow thank you Lord. Please folks continue to invite and invest! You bring'em and let the Holy Spirit do his thing. Wasn't it great to hear the roll call of new members.
We got some special events coming up this August. Aug. 10 Baby dedication, Aug.17 Children's Baptism and Aug 24 Adult baptism. This Wednesday night starts the first of two Financial Peace University suppers. I am praying that this time of learning will help us all to learn a plan to become debt free.
Yes that was Josh behind the Glass for invitation and out Song today. Please continue to remember Him in prayer as he gains strength to come back to play. We also want to thank Paul Vassar and are working with him as we grow the band.
Thank you for being a part of Fellowship Church.

Band of Blue Supper

Thanks to you folks for serving the Band of Blue. The food was very good and the students loved those fries. You should have seen Tony's fryer. It was made out of a LP tank rounded end. It was the largest looking wok I had ever seen. The Fellowship grillers keep them dogs a turning. The ladies laid out the vittles and ran the lines. Steve was there telling us about his new h2o project for his truck. He was collecting pats to change his Mitsubishi into a Hybrid. See ya Sunday at Fellowship Church.
